Pirakata High School (H.S.), one of the prestigious institutions in our locality completes its 60 years of journey this year. A home of about 1650 students – this School has produced many talents over these past years. It is a co-educational higher secondary school with arts and science streams in the H.S. section. It also runs vocational courses on electric wiring and tailoring.

       The school was established on 21st January, 1965 with the earnest efforts of Late Baidyanath Ojha and many other educationist of this locality. The institution is well-known as a Pioneer for its overall progress in its efforts of spreading the light of knowledge in this backward Jungal Mahal area.

     The school has also produced a great number of talents in sports and games–in block,sub-division, district, state and in national level, too. These sports persons have glorified our institution.
